On October 4th 2003 the new live action series called Pretty Guardian sailormoon was aired in Japan, It depicted the lives of 5 teenage girls who fight against evil to save the planet.

For our story we will start with beautiful shrine Maiden Rei Hino, who becomes the sailor suited solder SailorMars, and helps the other senshi fight off the Shitennou of the Dark Kingdom, Rei runs into the Famous Teen Idol Minako Aino at the local church, where they both help to heal a sick dog, tempers flairs while one tries to out do the other for showing their affections towards the sick pup (well he's like a golden retriever). The only difference is that Rei thinks Minako is a snob and Minako knows Rei's true Identity.

Once Minako Reveals herself as SailorVenus the "Moon Princess" to SailorMars and only SailorMars things start to get sticky.. While SailorMars and Venus battled against one of Queen Beryl's Youma's Venus gets hurt and went down on the floor, Mars had a chance to go after the youma or stay and help Venus, she chose to stay and doing so she was ridiculed by the "Princess" and told her flat out that she is not worthy of being a senshi. After that conflict, SailorVenus pushed Mars to being a better Senshi and to awaken her true powers, at this time she gave Mars the Leadership of the senshi.

Some of Minako's punishments where having Rei sing in front of an audience of sick kids at the hospital, and gave her a new name of Mars Reiko (idol stuff)

Once Rei's senshi powers were waken and the princess's true identity was revealed (Usagi) Minako told Rei that she is no longer the leader of the senshi and that she will now take over her rightful position as leader, you can imagine how Rei felt.

As Time went by Minako felt lonely not being closer to the other girls, we also find out that she doesn't have much time left for she has an incurable disease and the only one she could confide to was Rei, Rei begged her to do the operation. Minako also opted to quit singing and stop being an Idol, Rei proved to her that something's are still worth living for.

Here are a few of the major synopsis from the Live action show.

Act 17

While Rei was visiting her Mothers grave site at the church, Minako was inside praying (about what we don't know) the two crossed paths on the way out, and the "Father" called out to Minako for some help and Rei followed to see what was wrong. The girls ended up helping an abandon dog, (Mina recognizes Rei as SailorMars and wonders why she is at the church) now alone Rei recognizes Mina as the talented Minako Aino.. Mina found it refreshing that she met someone who doesn't know who she is. The Girls laugh and smile together until Rei senses a new Youma and she takes off. Mina helps out Rei by transforming into SailorVenus and they team up against the youma, until Venus is taken down, Mars runs to Venus to see if she is okay (the youma runs away) Venus tells her she is fine and to go after the youma.. Mars disobeys and asks again if she is alright.. Venus yells at Mars that she let the youma get away and that she is disappointed at her, and that she may be a soldier but she needs to grow up.

act 18

The next day Rei brings a bag of dry dog food back to the church. she is meat at the front by a taxi cab caring Minako inside as Mina got out of the cab she notices that Rei brought dog food and got back into the car and told the driver to dive on. Back in the church Rei was feeding "Toro" just then Minako comes in the door with 4 boxes of expensive healthy dog food for "Riki". Mina gives a smirk back to Rei as the Priest thanks her for he kindness. Rei gives a smirk back to Mina after she volunteers to make up a poster for the lost dog. Rei confronts Mina about not telling them who she is and that she should just stay away if she isn't going to help then and to leave the Youma to her. Mina's response was that she would if she could trust her to do so, but she can't.


act 23

Rei finds out that Mina visits sick children at the local hospital and goes there to see what she is up to. When she gets there she hears Mina singing her new hit single "C'est la Vie" Mina sees her when she is finished, Mina is then bombarded with the children for autographs and Rei sees how happy the sick children are. One little girl comes up to Rei-chan and asks her for an autograph, she corrects her and say's that Minako is over there. The girls mother say's that she is of great talent to and that they call her Mars Reiko-san. Rei looks a little stunned, and the woman said that Minako told them so. Rei looks over to Minako as she gives her a knowing smirk. After they leave the hospital Rei confronts Mina about going around saying she has talent and why is she always at the hospital once a month, Mina says that its for a condition she has, but then goes straight into how Sailormoon was the first to awaken her powers and that is wasn't her. Mina says that awakening her power has something to do with her heart and that she must be lacking something as a leader. Before Rei could say anything a Nurse came out and was excited that Rei was going to be doing a performance for them, Mina smiles and looks away with pleasure, Rei grabs Mina and pulls her aside and asks her what this is about, Mina tells her its punishment and that a leader is to co-operate with everyone, Rei informs her that she won't be making her a friend out of this.

act 26

After Sailormoon was Reveled as the true Princess, Venus has now vowed to return to being a Senshi and that she will now take her place as being the leader, Mars was hurt by this, saying that she thought she was the leader, Venus corrected her by saying that she was only her Substitute. Jupiter jumps in and asks how their relationship got this bad.

act 36

After Minako's collapse on the Stage during her Rainbow Tour, Rei-chan visits her in the hospital, Mina feels that she can tell her the truth about her sickness and that she will be needing Rei's support. Minako informs Rei that she might have 3 months to live, and that they need to fulfill the mission, Rei's in disagreeance that she shouldn't be concentrating on being a soldier and the past but to get well and to have that surgery even if its a 0% successful rate. Mina tells Rei that everything will be alright, she still can fight and be a soldier because she still can't trust everything up to her yet (Rei). During their fight against Queen Beryl Mamoru was forced to go to the Dark Kingdom leaving Usagi behind, as she collapses from emotional fatigue, Mars yells at Venus while Jupiter and Mercury tends to a felled Usagi that all this happens because of their past lives.

act 37

With Usagi missing Rei-chan goes and visits with Minako on her "Set" and talk about what is going on and why Usagi changed into a different form not associated with her past. Mina believes that the reason may be because of what has happened with Mamoru. As they where talking a stage hand came up to Minako and asked if the girl with her was her friend (Rei) Minako said she was the new girl Mars Reiko, and that they where reading the "script", Minako started with the lines and awaited for Rei's answer, Rei looking quite embarrassed and said the word "Kupi" (Minako's mascot neko neko says the word Kupi she is a unicorn) Mina feels that Rei wasn't feeling her part so she brought out some props to make Rei look more like Neko Neko.

act 40

Minako decided that she should stop being an Idol and concentrate more on the past and being a Senshi.. She even goes to tell her manager that she is quitting. Artemis goes to Rei for help and she comes up with a plan to get Minako to be who she really is and not what she thinks she should be. Rei takes her new Idol career to a higher level, bringing Minako's manager into the plan, he tells Minako that he has found her replacement in Mars-Reiko-chan and that she is the one to take over her CM photo shoot, in fact she would also take her new song that's supposed to be recorded.. this infuriates Minako and says bluntly I'm sure I would be better than Mars. Rei challenges Minako to a match for Idol ship.. In a mock tv-show (only Minako thinks its real) all the girls square off in different match ups after a while Rei watches Minako get more into it, she starts to cheer the girls on and become more like one of them. In the end Minako records her new hit single. Kiss2 Bang2. After the recording Rei met up with Minako, they argue about their so called past life, Rei yells at her that its not about the past but about the "NOW" and that if it was her she would go ahead with the surgery, Minako yells at her she doesn't understand the gravity of their mission and runs away.

act 43

While fighting the evil youmas from Queen Metalia Sailor Venus steps in to help Luna who is caught in the clutches of a youma, this catches Mars off guard. The two back into each other and Mars tells Venus "Didn't I tell you not to fight more" Venus scolds her that this isn't the time for talking. When watching Venus fight Mars realizes something that she didn't notice before. Venus starts to feel faint and Mars catches her before she falls. Mars whispers to her "Like I told you" but Venus ignores her and runs in defense with the other senshi. Venus orders the girls to do a Simultaneous attack.. and they defeat the youma. Later on you break into a conversation between Rei and Minako, the senshi now in street cloths Minako on one side, Rei, Makoto and Ami on the other.. Rei denounces Minako as their leader because she has not awoken her powers yet, and that she will not fight with such and amateur.

act 44

We start off with the girls still in the parking lot Minako and Rei arguing weather or now Venus has awoken her final powers. Rei is trying to comprehend that how can she be their leader if she has not awoken yet. Ami say's that she knows the most about their past lives and Luna agrees. Minako turns to artemis for help, to tell them that she has indeed awoken her senshi powers .. of course he isn't any help in this matter. Rei tells Minako that since she has not awoken yet she best not come to fight with them and in the meantime she has something else to do (surgery). Makoto burst in saying that even though Minako has not awaken she is still our friend.. Rei disagrees.. "friends do not lie to each other"

Later at the Crown Kareoke center we break in again with a conversation, Minako confronts Rei, "Mars you decide. as a senshi are you not supposed to fulfill your mission?" Rei say's that she has no plans in stopping to fight, but its not for a mission in the past. Minako smirks and says "I see then I guess your not needed here".. Rei turns around slowly picks up her bag and heads out, despite the other girls protests.

act 48

Minako finally decides to go ahead with the surgery, at the Kareoke center she tells the other girls that she has her examination first and then after that she will present them with her new debut album, on her way out she turns and waves good-bye, Rei gets a strange feeling. Later Artemis shows up at the Kareoke center and is worried because Minako hasn't come back yet from her examination. The girls speculate several things.

Something horribly went wrong, she never made it to the examination. Artemis finds Rei at the temple and tells her everything. All we see is her dropping her bag. Minako is Dead.
The senshi are in the middle of fighting.. Rei saunters up to the girls in a daze like trance, just watching them fight, not moving. Jupiter saves her from the attacking youmas.. "Rei what are you doing? hurry and transform" Jupiter shouted at her. Rei looks surprised and realizes whats going on.. slowly in a shaken voice she calls out "mars power.." and a flash of artemis telling her about Minako, and then she screams "make up" she fights off the final youma with the last of her strength.. the senshi look at her in confusion not understanding what has happened.. Mars stops and starts to breakdown she falls to her knees screaming Minako's name.
